The Same 10 Questions We Always Ask: Christina C.

It’s no secret that we’re all about saving people money. I’m personally a coupon-cutting, sales-shopping, “wait, you paid full price for that?” thrifter and l will talk your ear off on the latest way I found to save money through tweaking my life a little bit. What’s the number one suggestion I make? Why, switching to Republic Wireless of course!

With my last “big red” carrier, I was paying $130 for two lines. Now? Well, here’s a screenshot of my last bill:

Did I mention that is for two lines? Yeah.

Apparently, my slight bragging about how much money I’m saving since switching to our Refund plans to my friends struck a note because last month I found out one of my friends had switched over and was saving a ton of money. So, it made sense to feature her in our latest edition of The Same Ten Questions We Always Ask!

Meet Christina! She’s cool, has great taste in music and our dogs go on puppy play dates together:

How did you hear about Republic before becoming a member?
I was looking for a way to save money and give the horn to huge carriers and kept hearing about Republic. My friend Lara started working there, and not long after, one of my sisters switched over. I finally made the switch and have lived happily (and a little bit richer) ever after.

What was your WiFi vs. cellular data usage last month? How’d you stack up?
My usage was 13.1GB of WiFi and 0.1GB of data. I switched to the lowest data plan and my bill for the month was only $6!!!

What have you done with your Republic savings?
I bought a magical guitar pedal, and I’m saving up to buy a wooded glade (complete with waterfalls and gardens).

What’s the coolest/best spot where you’ve connected to WiFi (i.e. the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro — it happened!)
My sister and I were in Mexico staying in a place with no running water, but we were somehow able to connect to WiFi. It’s a weird thing to not be able to shower, but be able to call home (with no extra charges!). An added bonus was getting to see my dog on a video call with my parents (who were kindly dog-sitting).

What’s your favorite app on your Republic phone? Calm (calm.com).
Whether it’s the mountain lake, beach sunset, or rain, I’m instantly feeling peaceful.

Who do you stay connected with the most?
A rotating cast of beautiful friends, family, and of course, Schmendrick. At the same time, one of the best parts of being with Republic is that it’s easier to disconnect. I’m not always on WiFi, and I rarely use data unless it’s for GPS. It really has been a boon to my productivity and creativity.

Where’s your happy place?
Either driving the interstate or spending time at some of my favorite secret natural areas.

What’s your spirit animal? Why?
I’m just a unicorn running from the Red Bull, Mommy Fortuna, goblins, and The Lord of Darkness.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The hope that I’ll wake up to find out the Moto X finally has the unicorn emoji.

What’s the next item on your bucket list?
Spending time in Finland hiking, canoeing, and staying in summer cottages.
