February Product Recap: What’s New and What’s in the Works

February was an unusually cold and snowy month for many Republic Wireless members (we aren’t used to this strange white fluffy stuff falling from the sky in Raleigh).  But our hearts were warmed by the love we’ve felt all month from users submitting stories for our Republic Megastar contest. Thanks to everyone who’s participated and congratulations to Lindsey B & Family who were just announced as our winners.

Fun chances to win stuff aside, we’ve also been hard at work on lots of other projects to make your Republic experience even better. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

New in February:

New Application Update

New Republic Wireless App version 1.8.6 which includes:

“Blacklist” capability for Open WiFi Prompts

Automatic WiFi Authentication

Improvements to automatic authentication on WiFi

In-Progress Items that will Improve your Experience:

‘Refresh Button’ in the Republic App (aka *#*#8647#*#*)

LARGER SCOPE ITEMS (due to the more complex nature of these items, no official timing is set, nor is delivery guaranteed, but they are being worked on regularly) :

Android L update for capable devices
