Phew, let’s take some time to wipe our brow and reflect on what was accomplished in July. There was A LOT including seven huge new feature launches – all packed into just four weeks – a record even for Republic.
We started the month by announcing on July 7th our new Republic Refund Plans – available for all new and existing members and a great way to save even more on your monthly bill. The best part is that these new plans were imagined by our Community in our Think Tank and tested by our members first-hand in Republic Labs. To everyone involved in getting these plans live, we thank you wholeheartedly. We’re in total awe at your creativity, commitment and communication! Collaboration is what keeps us going. Thank you!
Next, a whole week later, we announced and made available the new Moto E (2nd Gen.) for purchase or upgrade. It’s a great device at an entry level price and we’re proud to offer it. Next, we began rolling out Android Lollipop 5.1 to existing Moto X 2nd Generation devices. For the latest timeline for when other devices can expect Lollipop 5.1, be sure to check out our peek Behind the Curtain post, expertly written by Matt (thanks Matt!).
Last, we threw a nice combo punch by announcing the latest Republic Lab’s project for cell to WiFi handover, Salsa, on July 23rd and followed that a day later with support for Emojis on Republic Wireless. We’ll refrain from ending this paragraph with smiley faces or fireworks and just be content to express in words (old school alphabet style) our gratitude for the engineers and staff that made all this stuff happen! For those of you who like seeing July’s accomplishments in list form, here you go:
