People always ask “how’s the camera on the Moto X?” We’ve answered that question before (in stunning detail if I do say so myself), but the team at Republic keeps surprising even ourselves with the photos our phones produce. Between the 13 megapixel camera and dual-LED flash on the Moto X (2nd Gen.) and the handy on-the-go editing tools found on each Motorola smartphone, we’ve been able to take some pretty great shots.
Most recently, I got to spend Memorial Day weekend down in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. The island weather was perfect for grilling out, tossing a Frisbee, and soaking in the sun – all while the nation’s largest lighthouse, Hatteras, stood stoically in the distance. These are the same Outer Banks where the pirate Blackbeard ran his ship, the famous 40-gun Queen Anne’s Revenge, aground – ending his scourge of the Atlantic coast. Just a few miles North of Cape Hatteras is Kitty Hawk, where the Wright Brother’s made their famous first flight. Indeed, the Outer Banks are rife with historical landmarks, ghost stories, and legends. It is a magical place, but why talk about it when there’s pictures to share! Mind you, I am no professional photographer what-so-ever. All my photos are shot with a Moto X to help give you an idea of what to expect on your own phone. Also – how was your Memorial Day?! Did you do anything cool or enjoy a nice relaxing vacation? Have any pictures to share yourself? Let us know in the comments!
