Republic Wireless has won the 2015 PC Magazine Reader’s Choice Award. To quote the popular tech news giant: “None of the big four (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless) came close.”
“Thrilled” doesn’t begin to describe the elation erupting from our building since receiving this award. We are honored and absolutely flattered. We started this company to help better connect people and treat them fairly – you know, like people. CEO David Morken says it best:
Today’s announcement is strong validation that consumers will respond when you make their needs the top priority. There is also no question – WiFi + cellular is a winning combination. WiFi as a primary network and cellular as the back-up network is enabling new market entrants and forcing the industry to adapt – all for the benefit of the consumer.
This award, and the fact that we won it because you, our members, named us for it, are rewarding in a way that’s hard to describe. Just a couple years ago, our company consisted of a bunch of passionate tech geeks, flashing ROMs onto phones and shoving them into boxes before the FedEx guy drove away. Fast forward to just a few years later, and WiFi is on its way to blanketing the world, and more and more people are beginning to enjoy the great value our members have enjoyed this whole time.
It is a great time to be at Republic, and we thank you so so much for helping us get here. We aren’t done yet and still have a lot planned for 2015. Onward and upward!
