We’re back with another “Same 10 Questions We Always Ask” featuring member Rebecca B, and we sure do love her answers! Rebecca tells us about how Republic Wireless was actually the first cell phone service that worked well in her area. Also, she has a super cute dog who enjoys using her phone from time to time! How did you hear about Republic before becoming a member?

I was googling for a smartphone for my daughter with a company that we could afford.  It was to be her first smartphone and I needed to make sure it was something we could keep payments on.  We also needed something that worked at our house.  Most cell phones, for some reason, would not work on our street.  We had tried pretty much all of them. The search engine pulled up a lot of companies, but they were all so expensive and I already knew they would not work on our street because neighbors and family have already tried with most of them.  As I scrolled down, I saw Republic Wireless.  I had never heard of RW before and read and looked over the website.  A little skeptical (I’m ashamed to say) at the price and of the fact that it said the phones worked on both Sprint and Verizon towers (we had both Sprint and Verizon phones that wouldn’t work at our house), I searched for reviews of RW.  Still uncertain, I searched for more.   At least 98% of the reviews were good reviews, but the catcher was that we could try it for 30 days and return it if not satisfied.  All other companies only gave us 7 days from the date of placing the order and to me, that wasn’t enough.  So I ordered a Moto G for my daughter and she tried it and LOVED it.  It was a price we knew we could afford to the point that I ended up getting myself a RW phone (Moto E) shortly after.  No one can beat RW and we will never switch to anyone else. Thanks Republic Wireless for being so awesome!

What was your WiFi vs. Cellular data usage last month? How do you stack up?

Mostly I am on wifi because I am at home.  There are rare times where I have to use more cellular data such as the past 2 days when I was at the hospital with my daughter.  While I connected to their wifi, it was unreliable wifi so I did have to use some of my data.

What have you done with your Republic savings?

We are trying to save enough money to take our first vacation… a real vacation that is.

What’s the coolest/best spot where you’ve connected to WiFi (i.e. the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro – it happened!)

Our house actually since no other cell phone has been able to work at our house at all.  Only RW works on our street.

What’s your favorite app on your Republic phone?

I have to say my FB messenger because, being Deaf, it is what I use the most to communicate with other people.  Mainly, it is what I use to keep connected with my daughter when she isn’t at home.

Who do you stay connected with the most?

My daughter (and her RW phone)

Where’s your happy place?

At home curled up with a good book

What’s your spirit animal? Why?

I don’t really have one.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

I was going to say my daughter, but if we want to get literal, it’s my dog who jumps on me about 5 am every morning because she has to go outside to pee!

What’s the next item on your bucket list?

Honestly, I am already content with what I have.  I don’t really have a bucket list, I just take each day as it comes and anticipate the next day ahead.
